Vest with an elegant slanted pocket at the waist. It has a small built-in, adjustable waistband at the back. The vest is fully lined.
Fabric choice:
Light to medium weight woven fabric: cotton, silk, wool, viscose, cupro, linen or polyester. Works well in fabrics with comfort stretch. Not suitable for jersey.

Fitting:
We recommend that you always make a muslin before you cut the fashion fabric, to make sure your finished garment will fit you perfectly.
Cutting Fabric
On each pattern piece, you will find a capital letter. On the cutting layout plan, you will find the same capital letters so that you can easily see which pattern pieces to use for the view you have chosen.
YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING PATTERN PIECES:
A, B, D, E, F, G, H, I, J
Sewing
NOTE! The Pattern Has 1 Cm Seam Allowances Included Unless Otherwise Noted.
PREPARATION
1.Cut out all pieces in fabric and interfacing. Remember to transfer all notches and markings from the pattern onto your fabric.
2. Fuse interfacing on the facing (G).
3. Cut a small piece of interfacing for the corner at the pocket opening and fuse it onto the front piece (A).
4. Apply stay tape along the neckline, pocket opening, and armhole on the front piece (A). Also apply stay tape along the neckline on the back piece (E) and around the armhole on the side back piece (F).
5. Place the pocket bag (D) onto the front piece (A), right sides together. Match the corner markings and stitch..
6. Clip into the corner of the front piece up to the seamline at the corner marking (from step 5).
7. Flip the pocket bag upwards and understitch the lining to the seam allowance.
8. Place the bottom edge of the side front (B) onto the pocket bag (D), right sides together, and stitch.
9. Press the seam allowance toward the pocket lining and understitch.
10. Place the side front (B) onto the front piece (A), right sides together. The lower notch of the side front should match the snip made in step 9. Pin from the shoulder down to the pocket opening and continue to the pocket bag.
11. Stitch the seam from the shoulder all the way down to the bottom of the pocket bag.
Note: It is important to catch exactly at the snip (step 9) to fully close the seam.
12. Press the seam allowance above the pocket.
13. Fold the pocket bag right sides together and sew it together in the sideseam.
14. Place the pocket bag along the side seam and baste it in place.
BACK & STRAP
15. Sew the back piece (E) and side back (F) together, right sides together. Do not sew the strap ends together.
16. Trim the seam allowance down to 0.5 cm on each side of the strap, from the strap notch to the end. Clip into the seam allowance if needed.
17. Turn the straps right side out and press neatly.
18. Place the side back pattern piece (E) on the fabric. Transfer the strap marking. From the right side, topstitch 22. The joined straps together, starting from the first strap notch, down to the marking, and ending at the lower strap notch. Remember to backstitch. The strap is now closet and you have made a full side back seam.
19. On the wrong side of the back piece, press the seam allowances open.
20. Join front and back at the shoulders, right sides together. Press seam open.
LINING
21. Sew the facing (G) to the side front lining (H), right sides together.
22. Sew the center back lining (I) to the side back lining (J), right sides together.
23. Press seam allowances toward the side seam.
24. Sew shoulder seams, right sides together. Press seam toward the back.
ASSEMBLY
25. Attach the lining to the vest: Pin the front of the vest to the front of the linning, right sides together, and sew.
26. Clip notches around the neckline.
27. Understitch the facing around the neckline as far down toward the front edge as possible.
28. Turn right side out and press neckline and front edge neatly.
29. Place the lining and main fabric right sides together again.
30. If the lining is too large at the armholes, trim it to fit.
31. Sew the armholes, right sides together. Clip notches into the seam allowance.
32. Understitch the lining around the armholes as far up as possible toward the shoulder seams, both front and back.
33. Turn the vest right side out by pulling the front piece through the shoulder straps.
34. Press all edges neatly.
SIDE SEAMS
35. Sew the vest side seams as follows:
Open out the vest so you can see the full sideseam, both fabric and lining. Match front and back pieces at the side seam, fabric to fabric and lining to lining, right sides together, and pin.
Sew the seam.
Press seam allowance toward the back.
36. Turn right side out and press side seams and armholes.
HEM
37. Place the vest hem edges together, right sides facing, aligning all seams.
38. Sew the hem, leaving approx. 10 cm open at center back for turning.
39. Turn vest right side out and press neatly.
40. Press the seam allowance of the opening inward and close with small hand stitches.
WAIST STRAPS
41. Adjust the waist straps in length:
On the left side, attach a buckle. Adjust the length so the buckle sits at center back.
On the right side, fold the strap end in and hand-stitch it closed.
FINISHING
42. Mark buttonholes on the right front piece according to the pattern.
43. Sew buttons onto the left front piece.
