How to style a pink suit in 4 ways

I love colours. They make me happy and make me meet the world with more energy and a positive mindset. Some people are good at combining colours – not me! I wish I were better at it, but at least I'm not afraid to try colour combinations. I think it's fun

One of the newest things I've made is this pink suit— a feminine suit with attitude.

I've made both the jacket and the pants from my basic pattern, so it's not one of my patterns for sale. But if you want to make your own suit, my patterns No. 10 Stockholm and No. 7 Vanløse work really well together. Those two together makes the perfect pair, and I've used them together many times before.

Sometimes I get asked how I combine my different makes and not just use them for the same outfit. Often people tell me they are a little scared of bright colours and prefer the classic black or more neutral tones. So I thought I would share how I make different outfits with the same pieces in bright colours.

This pink suit I would use in a lot of ways! For work, everyday life, to parties and even to the playground with my daughter.

  1. Look at this blouse! I've knitted myself, and I am so proud. I've made the pattern myself, so I can't share a guide with you. This look I use for everyday life and at the office. It's smart but also comfortable and warm.

2. This look is perfect for a long walk with stops at a bench and a little sunshine or at small cafes or maybe for brunch with your girlfriends.

3. This look I'm dreaming of wearing when we celebrate our 11th anniversary with friends and family. I know you usually don't celebrate 11-year of marriage at a big party, but I miss parties and my friends, so I hope we will be able to do that in July!

4. Molly and I have a thing we love to do together. We love rollerskating and skateboards. For that occasion, jeans are the best thing to wear, but with a knit and a pink jacket, I'm ready to stay warm and get wheels under my feet and wind in my hair.

I hope this could give you a little inspiration, and the next time you're sewing, you won't be afraid to choose a fabric in a wild colour!

Take care,

Nanna
