Wardrobediary: 10 others

Here I show some of the accessories and knits that I like to use to create a fun and personal wardrobe.

Scarfs

Yes, I love them! And I buy my favourites in Magasin (danish mall) from their own brands series; they have both a good size and really good friction, so they do not slip off the head and do not curl.

Funny broaches

I love fun brooches, and that's something I love to make myself. These two I made at one of the workshops that Malvine has been and held at HTDF. They can help elevate a very standard set of clothes to something special - and then, together with a scarf on the head and some nice shoes, it becomes a put-together outfit.

 Simili broaches

This small collection of brooches is all vintage but comes from many different places. Some are gifts, others found at flea markets and in vintage stores. I think they together turn into a beautiful mosaic for a party. I use them both in my turbans if I am going to a party, on a jacket collar or in the neck along with some pearl necklaces. They can be used in many places and create joy in an outfit.

Bags

Okay, this one might have a chapter of its own. I also love bags, and I have many that I have collected over 20 years. I think it's obvious if a piece of solid craftsmanship has been put in a bag, and that's probably what I only spot when I fall in love with one. I love when a bag has some fun and whimsical details or a different shape, and I try to avoid bags with logos, because I think it disturbs the bag's architecture. I'm probably not someone who buys classic bags; they do not speak to me. So the function is not my priority. If you ever see a bag and think, "who would buy it, with the impractical shape?", Then it's probably me who buys that type of bag: D

Here you see both a homemade bag, a vintage bag I have updated with a handle, a handmade numbered bag, and a bakelite bag from the 60s, which is more a piece of jewellery than a bag. Two small bags show very well what I fall for, either a fun detail or shape.

Gloves

Gloves are the epitome of elegance, with so many beautiful ones. I also wore gloves when I got married; it was my "veil" that my husband had to take off before I could get the ring on. Oh, good memories.

 Big rings

I love big rings that make a little noise. I always go with two rings, my wedding ring and then my oura ring, which works a bit like a smartwatch, just without a watch. It counts and registers my body and helps me live healthier. In addition to the two I always wear, I have all sorts of other shapes and colours that I decorate with. Rings are probably my favourite jewellery, and I always buy a ring on summer vacation as a souvenir. I often use all the rings I have ever purchased on a summer vacation.

Earrings

I always wear earrings but have a few favourites that I pretty much always wear. I also like to wear big earrings, but if I have a turban, red lips and big earrings, it can be a little overwhelming for people who meet me. So my round silver vintage earrings are my absolute favourite. I use them 5 out of 7 days a week.

Silk flowers

I am very fond of flowers, both in embroidery, as a print and then also silk flowers. It's probably my favourite here, and I take good care of it. It is so beautiful when it comes to a shirt or a dress. I think silk flowers can change a dress or a coat quite wildly. A recommendation for anyone who lacks "A little extra" to spice up outfits in a classic way.

Sunglasses

I have also been collecting sunglasses for many years. I have expensive designer sunglasses and cheap sunglasses from Tiger and other fun places. I like to have many different shapes in several colours. I have a spectacle head, so I can use almost all shapes - the wilder, the better😊

Knit

I have become very fond of knitting. One of the things I love most about knitting is that you can create structure, which gives a bold effect. I do not buy knitwear, so I do not have insanely much in my wardrobe. But I always have a project on the sticks. Right now it's a red blouse, and the two here are some of my favourites. I have calculated the light blue myself and love everything about it and use it a lot.
