Wardrobediary: 10 outfits

Blue dandy set

This set is quite a few years old and contains who I see myself as. It's both fun and serious. The jacket has some lovely details, and I remember the feeling of wearing it. Unfortunately, I can not fit the set anymore, but I felt SO comfortable. The trousers are made of No. 7 Vanløse pattern, and the jacket is made from my block pattern. It is sewn in blue cotton, and I almost tore it up that summer and fall.

Just because I can't fit into it anymore does not mean it's wasted. We gave the pants a new zipper and repaired them a bit, and then Sofie, my marketing girl, took over the set.

 Quilted jacket

I have sewn this jacket pattern many times. But this is the one who's the favourite. It is because it is made of a worn old vintage skirt that could no longer keep together in the seems. But I loved the fabric and the skirt has SO many good memories. So I quilted the material and made this jacket, and now it is a favourite just as a jacket. Another thing that makes sewing your own clothes into something very special.

 Scooter dress

This dress is probably in the top 3 of everything I have ever sewn. On the bottom, I have embroidered small scooters with French knots in silk and metal sequins. I spent an entire winter embroidering them on this fantastic light yellow linen. This dress makes me so happy and proud, and I fly when I wear it.

 Floral dress

This is probably one of the dresses I have received the most comment on. Maybe also because it was my favourite dress for maybe 2 years. It has been used a lot. It's one of those mixes and match dresses between No. 5 and No. 6. I made a small belt with a vintage buckle, and that helps to make it very special :)

 Turquoise set

My newest and most beloved, current outfit. It is made of turquoise / green wool, the trousers are Vanløse, and the jacket is Tangier in a short version. Also, on this set, there is embroidery, and I must say that a part of what makes me love my clothes is when I put energy into creating beautiful details. So in a way, I put more love into it, and I get it back when I wear it.

 Pink set

Look, this set has power in it - it's a Vanløse set with a knitted Pinna cardigan (Vetus Stercore) over it, and I love the colours; they make me ultra happy. if I were a colour, it would be magenta :)

Magenta skirt

This is a slightly more toned-down version of magenta. But I love it because it is a very casual outfit that makes me ultra-comfortable. The skirt is long and wide, and the silk makes it just float around my legs. The cardigan is knitted in the softest black wool, and with a white t-shirt, it makes me feel relaxed and sharp simultaneously.

Suiting

Here they are again, Vanløse. I must admit that they are my absolute favourite pattern, and over time, I have probably made them in more than 20 different pairs. Here I have put them together with the blue No 17 Granada and with a big fun brooch at the waist; it is both fun and serious at the same time.

 Hippie dream

This dress is also high on the list of my ultimate dresses - it's another mix and match between no. 1, no. 6, and no. 12 - the fabric is from Etro, one of my favourite brands, and I bought it at fabric minds many years ago. When I saw it, I knew that a very special dress had to be made from it. I have been picky about all the details, both inside and out.

Rønne vest

This vest is one of my most recent completed projects. At first, I was unsure if I was so crazy about it, but then I started to "play" with it, giving me more opportunities to use some blouses from the closet I had given up a bit. I feel both sexy and stylish in it, which I like to feel.
