From Past to Present – Malmø’s Hidden Treasure

We have now reached the second chapter in the story of pattern no. 11 Malmø. And this time, I wish to offer you something truly special: a free pattern.

Yes, you read that right – a pattern at no cost, but rich with history.

It is the original blouse that once formed part of no. 11 Malmø.A pattern that has long been tucked away, almost like a secret, but now it is time for it to return to life.

The blouse – or top, as I prefer to call it – is a small piece of nostalgia. A design I have only sewn a handful of times myself, yet one that carries delicate details and a beautiful cut. Graceful, a little whimsical, and a reminder of the journey How To Do Fashion has taken over the past decade.

The pattern follows the original size range: EU 34–48. That was how How To Do Fashion began – back when everything was still small and new. Since then, I have expanded my patterns to include more sizes, but this particular design stands as a memory of those first years – when I worked from my kitchen table, with an old printer humming in the basement.

If you feel like sewing this top, I hope it brings you joy. That you sense the quiet poetry in the fabric as the needle glides through the thread, and that you discover the pleasure of creating something that, to me, holds both beauty and a small piece of How To Do Fashion’s history.

You’ll find it inside Malmø’s sewing guide, ready to be downloaded and sewn.
